from your massage, please follow the aftercare guidance below.
Deep Breathing
Deep breathing helps restores balance:
Deep breaths activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) and
gently re-engage the sympathetic system (alertness) so you do not feel dizzy.
Improves circulation:
Controlled breathing helps move oxygen through the body after soft tissue
manipulation.
Grounds the mind:
It signals that the session is over, bringing your awareness back to the room.
What to Expect
Gentle guidance:
The therapist will usually speak in a soft, low voice and take a breath with you. No
force: You should only breathe as deeply as feels comfortable.
Dizziness prevention:
Sitting up too fast can cause low blood pressure; breathing helps stabilize you
before you stand.
Hydration

cleansing process and reduce any post treatment soreness.
Rest & Recovery

the body and extend the benefits of your treatment. Avoid saunas and steam rooms
for at least 2 hours.
Nourish Your Body

the body and intensify fatigue. Herbal or fruit teas and water are ideal.
(Headaches generally can be contra-action after treatment the drinking of fluids will help reduce
these as the toxins are removed from the body).
